FAQs & Resources

-
Currently, we are a private-pay-only practice. Billing therapy through insurance limits our ability to create a fully individualized and flexible treatment plan based on your child's needs. Insurances often require very specific eligibility criteria and specifications that significantly interfere with our ability to provide the best quality, evidence-based, and individualized treatment for your child!
With this being said, we are Step Up Scholarship providers, meaning we are able to provide a superbill (medical receipt) upon request to submit to your insurance company for potential partial out of network reimbursement. Contact your insurance company for more information regarding your out-of-network benefits.
-
Only under special circumstances. Children who are seen for periodic maintenance sessions or who live outside of the travel range may qualify for parent-coaching-based virtual therapy sessions. If you’re curious whether you meet the criteria for teletherapy, feel free to connect with us via email or phone.

Have questions about rates? Give us a call or send an email—we’re happy to help.
-
If you believe that your child could benefit from speech and/or language support services, an evaluation will help us to provide you with a full picture of their current skills, strengths, and areas requiring support. We accept outside evaluations completed within the past 6 months. Contact us for a free consultation to determine whether your child may require an evaluation.
-
Following the evaluation, frequency of appointments will be determined based on your child’s unique needs.
-
Therapy sessions will be held in the child's natural environment, as determined by the caregivers and clinician. This may include their home, daycare center, preschool, or other location. Frequency recommendations will be provided following a full evaluation. Time recommendations are based on each child's specific needs, as services are offered on an individualized basis.
-
Sessions must be canceled 24 hours or more prior to the scheduled therapy time. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours notice will result in a charge equal to the rate of the session.
-
Yes! We encourage parents and caregivers to attend to continue supporting the child’s skills outside of sessions.
-
We prioritize the individual needs of each child, focusing on building authentic connections as the foundation to communication, and honoring each child's unique strengths through a neurodiversity-affirming approach. We continually adapt therapy based on a child's responsiveness to intervention, ensuring that sessions are truly individualized and never a one-size-fits-all.
